What time can I check in?
Check-in is available from 4:00 PM.
What time do I need to check out?
We kindly request that you check out by 12:00 PM.
Can I change the arrival and/or check-out time?
We need time between bookings to clean, prepare, and ready the apartment for use. Unfortunately, it is not possible to arrive before 4:00 PM or leave later than 12:00 PM.
How is access to the apartment arranged, are there key instructions?
You will receive the lockbox number and code no later than one day before arrival.
Where do I leave my keys after departure?
We kindly ask you to leave the keys on the dining table upon departure. For any other questions regarding check-out, please refer to the information on the front door of your apartment.
Is it possible to store my luggage?
Our apartment complex does not have a reception desk or luggage storage, so it is unfortunately not possible to store your luggage temporarily.
Your Stay
What is the minimum and maximum length of stay?
When booking your stay, please note that the minimum stay is 2 nights, with a maximum of 20 nights. If you have other requirements, please visit our website or email us at info@birdseyeshortstay.com.
Is the apartment equipped with coffee, linens, shower products, etc.?
The apartment is fully equipped, including all necessary linens, coffee, toiletries, toilet paper, and similar items.
Is there WiFi in the apartment?
Yes, the apartment has WiFi. The network name and password are on a card inside the door of the utility room in the apartment.
For all other (technical) questions about the apartment, please refer to the documentation on the dining table.
Where are the gym and workspace located in the building?
The gym is on the first floor above the main entrance. The general workspace is on the ground floor directly opposite the entrance.
Is WiFi available in the workspace?
Yes, certainly. Network name: PrinsendockWifi, password: Algemeen123!
What should I do in case of a malfunction, leakage, or if something is accidentally damaged?
Please report the issue to the host via info@birdseyeshortstay.com. We will address the issue as soon as possible.
What should I do if the power goes out in the apartment?
In the hallway, there are black doors with the apartment numbers above them. You can open the door corresponding to your apartment (same number) with your front door key. Check if the residual current switch is in the upward position and reset it if necessary. If the power still isn't restored, notify the host, who will take over and find a solution.
Is there enough hot water for multiple showers in a row?
We value sustainability, so hot water is available in limited quantities. If several people need to shower, we recommend taking short showers. If the hot water runs out, it takes about an hour for the supply to fully reheat.
Can we add a baby bed, baby bath, and high chair to our booking?
We are happy to provide these (free of charge) for your child. Feel free to ask the host to arrange this before your arrival. Please note that you will need to bring your own bedding for your child(ren).
House Rules
Are pets allowed in the apartment?
Although we love pets, unfortunately, we cannot allow them in our accommodation. We want to keep the house allergy-free for all guests.
Are we allowed to smoke in the apartment/building?
While smoking marijuana is legal in the Netherlands, it is NOT permitted in our building or apartment, not even on the balcony. Regular cigarettes can only be smoked on the balcony, and we kindly ask you to use the ashtray provided.
Are parties or events allowed?
No, parties and events are not allowed to prevent disturbances to the neighbors.
Parking
Can I park in front of the building, and what are the costs?
Good news! You can park for free on the premises (limited availability) or in the surrounding streets, such as Hendrik Wachterstraat or Jan Huidigstraat.
How can I reserve a free parking spot?
Send a message to the host. Please note: parking spots are very limited and cannot be reserved within 3 days of arrival. Free parking is also available in surrounding streets like Hendrik Wachterstraat or Jan Huidigstraat.
Is it possible to park BEFORE check-in time and/or AFTER check-out time?
It is not possible to park on the premises, but you can park for free in Hendrik Wachterstraat and Jan Huidigstraat before and after check-in/check-out.
I have reserved a parking spot. Where is the remote for the gate?
You will receive a separate lockbox number and code for the gate remote. The gate opens automatically when leaving.
Could it be that the remote is not in the lockbox where my apartment key is at arrival?
Please note, if you have reserved a parking spot, the remote will be in a DIFFERENT lockbox. We will provide you with this lockbox number and code in our message before arrival.
Where can we find the lockboxes and/or our parking spot?
In our final message before arrival, we sent you an image showing the exact location of the lockboxes, which are on the left wall of the building, outside. The parking spots are all located directly in front of our building. From the gate, it's the rear section of the parking lot.
Someone is parked in my spot. What should I do?
Please check first if you're in the correct parking lot. Our lot is the REAR parking lot, opposite our building, and marked by the BirdsEye sign. If you're sure someone is in your spot, please send us a message, and we'll report it to the manager. In the meantime, you can park for free in Hendrik Wachterstraat or Jan Huidigstraat. PLEASE NOTE: we advise you not to park in any other spaces, as wheel clamps are enforced in those areas!
Help, I have a wheel clamp!
That’s unfortunate. You have received a wheel clamp because you parked in a space that is not assigned to you. The clamp will be removed by the contracted company upon direct payment of €159.00. Call the number left on a card on your windshield.
Location and Surroundings
How far is the accommodation from the city center?
It is a 3-minute walk to Capelsebrug metro station, which takes you to the old center of Rotterdam in less than 10 minutes.
Can you advise me on public transport travel?
All public transport information in the Netherlands can be found via the website www.9292.nl. We recommend using it.
Are there restaurants or supermarkets nearby?
Yes, there are several supermarkets within a 7-minute walk and restaurants within a 20-minute walk.

Is it possible to receive an invoice for my booking?
You can request an invoice from the company where you made your booking, and they will assist you.
